Kathy Boucher, owner of Boucher Accounting & Tax Services, Inc., is a native of Virginia Beach. She found her love of accounting at a young age, and thus has a background in accounting that goes back 35 plus years. Kathy worked at a doctor’s office for 12 years as a comptroller before wanting to open her own firm.

Kathy established her own company in 1995. A little while later, Kathy added the tax preparation component to her business, which has been thriving since its inception.

What makes Kathy stand out from the rest of accountants is her personal touch to the business. Kathy is actively involved in her company, working with most of the daily operations. She enjoys getting to know each client, not just on a business level, but on a personal level as well. Truly caring about the clients and the clients’ work has made all the difference.

In order for Kathy to provide her clients with accurate service, she attends seminars throughout the year that update her on the tax laws that are changing. These seminars are through The Accountants Society of Virginia, Inc., for which Kathy receives continuing education. Kathy is also a current member of the National Society of Accountants and of The Accountants Society of Virginia, Inc.

Kathy has goals of adding more facets to the companies in the future. She looks forward to running her business for many years to come.
